Meduza Publishing is an independent Georgian publisher dedicated to science fiction, fantasy, and other forms of speculative fiction.
Our mission is to introduce Georgian readers to outstanding works from around the world while also helping Georgian voices reach international audiences. We publish both contemporary authors and rediscovered classics, with a particular interest in works that expand the boundaries of imagination.
Georgia has a rich but largely unexplored tradition of speculative fiction. From the country’s first science-fiction novel, written in 1930, to a new generation of fantasy and science-fiction authors, we seek out stories that combine universal themes with distinctive local perspectives.
Our catalogue includes:
- Epic and high fantasy
- Science fiction
- Literary speculative fiction
- Classic Georgian genre works
- Anthologies and short fiction
- Award-winning and award-nominated titles
For foreign publishers, agents, and scouts, we offer:
- Rights information and availability
- Sample translations on request
- Assistance with evaluating Georgian-language manuscripts
- Support throughout the licensing and translation process
We are always interested in discussing translation, publication, and international rights opportunities.

International Catalogue
Alongside original Georgian works, Meduza publishes carefully selected translations of science fiction and fantasy by some of the most influential voices in the genre.
Our Georgian editions include works by Ursula K. Le Guin, Arthur C. Clarke, Diana Wynne Jones, and T. Kingfisher, introducing both classic and contemporary speculative fiction to Georgian readers.
Our publishing programme reflects our commitment to building a lasting audience for science fiction and fantasy in Georgia. We seek out works that have shaped the genre, inspired generations of readers, and continue to expand the possibilities of imaginative literature.
By combining international voices with original Georgian works, we aim to create a bridge between Georgian readers and the wider world of speculative fiction, while helping Georgian authors reach new audiences abroad.
